We will advertise your registration Free of Charge, adding a small margin on top of the returnable figure. The figure we quote you relates to cleared funds upon finding a buyer.

On finding a purchaser we shall prepare the application and submit it for transfer. If the number is currently held on a vehicle it must hold a current tax disc and MOT certificate (or these must have expired within the last 6 months).

Your vehicle will automatically be issued with an age-related plate, and a new tax disc bearing the re-allocated number will be supplied with the same expiry date as the previous one. Any MOT certificate will be officially stamped by the Licensing Office and with the V5 Registration Document following within 4 – 6 weeks of the completion of the transfer.

If the registration number is held on a V778 Retention Document or V750 Certificate of Entitlement, it would need a change of nominee details on the document, which is done via the DVLA. Upon receipt of the amended certificate the transaction will be finalised.

You have the right to cancel this agreement at any time providing we have not already sold the registration. You must inform us if the vehicle is scrapped or the number sold elsewhere.
